Well after a long break from blogging I am back. Last night we went to Maricella's for our friend Stephanie's 29th birthday! We had 1o adults, a 6 year old, an almost 3 year old and 3 one year olds! I know they were never more happy than when we left!! We had a great time and it is always so much fun to get together with friends because we don't get to much anymore!

Summer's Over

According to my wonderful cousin Joy I am the worst blogger in history thus far! I realize that a blog must be kept up to date but there are so many things to do everyday and when the day is over I am ready for bed!

The summer has been great; we have had a lot going on and have stayed busy. We got two new puppies, Trey started walking, I threw several baby showers for friends and family. I love showers; they are just so much fun! Bobby's best friends wife had their second child, JW, who I will take some pictures of tonight. He is just 2 days old and we have not seen him yet; we didn't have the time to go to the hospital.

I will try my hardest and update with pictures tonight or this weekend at the latest!

Puppies

Mine and Bobby's plan today is to get Trey a puppy. We have been wanting to get him one for a while but decided to wait. We are getting him a springer spaniel and I am sure they will be great friends.

I have been kind of slow on blogging lately; the summer has gone by way too fast and I was enjoying many other things.

I will do better and will hopefully post my review of the concert I went to in Atlanta (for my cousin Joy) and pictures of Trey's new puppy.

Growing Up

It is hard to believe that Trey is almost a year old; where does the time go? Just yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital and here we are planning for his first birthday party!!

For family and friends that read this his party is planned for September 13, 2008 (his birthday is actually a Saturday) at 12 Noon at White Oak Church. Lunch will be served and formal invitations will be sent soon!

Fun

To be honest, since Trey was born I have had very little me time. Most of that is my own doing; I would rather be with Trey than do a lot of other things. Tomorrow, however, is my day. I am going to see Kenny Chesney, Brooks and Dunn, Gary Allan and LeAnn Rimes at Turner Field in Atlanta. I am super excited and will make sure that I post my review afterwards!

Sick Trey

As a mother you never hurt worse than when your child does. Wednesday afternoon Lola called and said that Trey had a fever of 103.6. I called the doctor and she said to treat it with tylenol and motrin and see if it would break on it's on. Well Thursday morning we decided to take him to the doctor. She had him go and get some labs and x-rays to see what was going on. Apparently he had some sort of viral infection and she said hopefully he would be better in 48 hours. He is now on the mend and I am so glad.

On Thursday afternoon Ashlyn got ahold of a bottle of childern's cold and cough tylenol and drank the whole bottle. Once Tripp and Sharon realized what happened they rushed her to the emergency room where she was put in Intensive Care to get the meds she needed and to be monitored frequently. She was finally released last night after her tylenol level dropped to zero and her blood tests came back fine. She scared us all to death but thank the Lord she will be alright. Here are some pictures of her in the hospital.

Babysitters

When I was pregnant with Trey one of my biggest concerns was who would keep him when I went back to work. I was against the whole day care scene and going back to work was a no brainer; I need that time away, it makes me a better mother! Well when we lived in Dublin I had a lady that came to the house and kept Trey and he hated her; he screamed all day. We moved to Sandersville when he was 2 and 1/2 months old and my grandmother's best friend kept him for a week and he hated her; he screamed all day long. That Sunday night after the first week he stayed with her we had our Christmas play at church and we honestly had no one to keep Trey that Monday morning for me to go back to work. I was so upset and we had to leave church early to find someone. Well we got 10 minutes away from church and my grandmother called and told me to come back because a lady at church said she would keep him.

Well she has been my lifesaver!! Trey has loved her and her whole family from day 1 and she loves him just as much. He enjoys staying with her just as much as he enjoys being with me. The Lord blessed us with Lola and we thank him every day for Trey's Nanny!!

Growing up I was lucky enough to have two cousins that lived in the front yard to play with. Trey will have the same luxury since my brother and his family recently moved in front of us. Considering the fact that Bobby and I do not intend on having any more children this is a blessing because Trey will always have someone to play with. Trey's cousin Ashlyn already loves him; all I ever hear is where Trey and where Bobby at? That is how she asks me. Trey and Ashlyn already love to play together and I am sure Trey and Lee will be the best of friends; they will even be in the same grade at school together. Ashlyn will always be the boss though!

I am apparently way behind on this blogging thing; According to my cousin Scott I have got to do better.

On May 22, 2008 my sister-in-law, Sharon, gave birth to my new newphew. He weighed 8 pounds and was named Darrell Lee Usry the 4th. We call him Lee. Now you can see some pictures of him, his parents and his adorable sister Ashlyn!

July 4th

When we woke up on July 4th Bobby opened up the living room blinds on the big picture window so that Trey could look outside (that is something we do every morning we are home because Trey loves to look outside). Once he had opened the blinds and sat down on the window seat he looked outside and saw a 3-4 foor mocassin in the front yard. I am now terrified to go outside afraid that either him or some of his brothers might be outside! Take a look!

Being a mother

It's amazing how when you become a mother your child's accomplishments seem to be the biggest part of your life. You wait for that first smile, the first time your baby laughs out loud, the first roll over etc... After that you wait for the first tooth, crawling and pulling up. After that comes walking. You become so proud when you see your child learning to do new things and thriving. My baby is getting to be all grown up. He will be 10 months old tomorrow and he is now walking and trying to get his first tooth. I pray every day that God will continue to let Trey grow healthy and strong. These are Trey's latest pictures; man is he growing up way too fast!! He is now 8 and 1/2 months old and is so grown up. He is pulling up everywhere and crawling on his hands and knees. He started scooting around at 6 months old but 2 weeks ago he got up on his knees and he is so fast. He is going to be so much fun in the pool this summer because he notices everything.
